King Vanish pg 6 bw by deankotz
King Vanish pg 6 bw
Last page of linework for today.  This is page 6 from my work-in-progress gn called King Vanish.   Not a very exciting page, I know.

One more page for today.  I'll post some more tomorrow.  Unlettered page from King Vanish, my detective/horror gn about late 70s rock n roll.

As I said earlier, just posting these to get them off my chest, so I can keep pushing forward (whenever I get the free time...which isn't often).

More linework from King Vanish, my horror/detective gn about late 70s rock.  So many flubs on this page I wish I could fix.   I'm only about 20 pages in, so I probably shouldn't post stuff.  But, I'm always worried I won't have the chance/time to finish things, and, as time passes, I'll get lost in revisions.  By posting them somewhere it sort of makes them feel "completed" and I can keep moving forward.

King Vanish page 5 (unlettered).  Another early page from the horror gn I've been working on in my free time.   I wish I could redraw this one, but I'm forcing myself to just push forward and not obsess over mistakes.

Page 4 linework for King Vanish.  It's a horror/detective story I've been toying around with.   Just wanted to post a few of the early pages before my OCD has me redrawing them.

The last few weeks have been really busy 'round here.  Couple projects/issues are in the preliminary stages and I haven't had any free time for sketches or other things to post.  Red Panda's still truckin' along.  Gregg's script for the next two-parter is a lot of fun.  Even has some zombies involved.  Part one is out on Comixology 10/15.

For anyone going to NYCC this weekend: please come visit me at table V12 in Artist Alley! I'll be hunkered down doing sketches most of the weekend.  Artist Alley is always a little more peaceful than the main floor, so, if you need a break from the crowds, head toward the North Pavilion.

Thank you for the fave, Dean.  It's a thrill and an honor for me.

I'm hoping this upcoming year I can get my comic career revving.  You're an inspiration for me.

Hey Dean, it was great speaking with you at NYCC, what you said about looking up B Wrightson has proven to be excellent advice. I love his style! It's funny too because I was flipping through an old Swamp Thing book about a month ago and was super inspired and actually wrote down his name to look him up later, of course I forgot about it and time passed until I met you and you put me back on the trail! Any way, thanks and thanks for taking the time to talk. E.

Wouldn't miss it for the world (that, and I've already paid for my table.)  :)  I'm at table BB4.  Make sure you stop by!
