Well, finally had time to ink this. Was aiming for a little Dave Stevens with a little Berni Wrightson. Had to alter the cat...never worked in the original pencils. This is for John Schlim Jr.'s Goth Ghost Girl pinup book.

I really like it, although it takes a minute for your eye to sort through it. There is a lot going on in this and not all of it is on one level your eye can understand. This was probably what you were going for. I love the detail in the cat, however it doesn't really match the style of the rest of the work. This could be a desired thing as well. I love the American-style effect you use on the character. Her body structure is sound, as is her face, even if it is a bit mean-looking. Everything works, I think, although I'd like to know the story behind this picture.

Thanks! Some of the confusion stems from me switching from pen to brush halfway thru. The cat was rough; it was hard to make it look not too cartoony but not too realistic. For the story look for the forthcoming comic produced by John Schlim's Fablewood studios.
